Certified Birth Doula, Certified Body Ready Method® Pro
Angela Campbell, CD(DONA), certified BRM® pro
Birth has been part of my life for more than twenty years: first as a doula, then as an obstetric nurse, then as a mother, friend, neighbor, and doula again. I have supported families in Canada, England, and the United States, and one thing has remained true everywhere: no two births are the same, and no family should have to feel alone in the middle of it.
I was born in Manitoba, Canada, and spent my early adult years in Winnipeg. While completing a degree in philosophy, I fell in love with pregnancy and birth. I have always been drawn to big life questions, but birth captured my attention in a much more personal and practical way. I was struck by how much it asks of a person: physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. Eventually, that passion led me to change paths and complete a degree in nursing.
While I was studying, I began attending births as a doula, and after graduating, I worked as a RN. Those early experiences shaped the way I understand birth support. I saw how much it matters to have someone steady in the room: someone who can offer practical help, calm reassurance, and clear communication as labor unfolds and babies are born.
After marrying in 2005, I moved with my husband to England where we welcomed our first child, then to Notre Dame, Indiana, where we had two more babies. While my husband pursued his education, I homeschooled and supported my neighbors and friends through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum within our student community.
In 2014 we moved to Waco, Texas, where we’ve made our home, raised our family, and stayed involved in work, church, and community life. My experiences, including pregnancy losses, have deepened my commitment to walking alongside families through pregnancy, birth, grief, joy, and the beautiful and life changing moments of the perinatal years.
Certified Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Overnight Newborn Care
Krissa Robert, B.S., CD(DONA)
I became pregnant young and, and like many, was filled with uncertainty. I spent many late nights scrolling trying to filter out other people's birth stories, experiences, and families. Trying to watch mini birth classes on YouTube with my partner so we could have a clue in the world.
I met my birth & postpartum doula, and didn’t even realize the impact her care would have on me.
Birth is not just meeting a new baby- but meeting a new family. The first introduction to this brand new unit should not traumatize you. It should feel exciting and supported. Then after the birth, you completely reset to needing just basic needs met, like water, food, and love. I want to help grow you past that so you can begin thriving, not just surviving. My goal is for families to start on the right foot. Because your transition will set the tone for everything that follows.
Today, I am a DONA International Certified Birth Doula and trained postpartum doula, supporting all different experiences. Any family can benefit from some level of doula care. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Science, giving me a deeper understanding of families and bonding.
In my free time, you will probably find me chasing my toddler around Waco. Whether that’s the museum, zoo, park, or literally anywhere outdoors. I listen to audiobooks, try to stay fit (but love to eat), and love self development topics. I’m just a mom in my 20’s with a deep passion to serve our future by serving families from the very beginning.
